What are we talking about when we talk about Tupperware recipes ? Is any recipe a Tupperware recipe? As everyone knows, these questions have been troubling humanity for years. As a representative of Paulina Cocina, I am fortunate to be part of the CNDRT (National Commission for the Definition of Tupperware Recipes).

From day one, we were divided, of course, into two camps. We call the first the " everything is Tupperware " camp. These are people with dubious palates whose main premise is "everything inside will get mixed up." They have no problem eating reheated pasta or tomatoes that have been sitting out all morning. Their Tupperware salad comes already seasoned. Obviously, these recipes are designed to be economical and easy to prepare.

The second camp is ours . For us, not just any recipe falls into the "Tupperware recipes" group. No, sir. Tupperware recipes must meet certain conditions. Because the point isn't just to put food in a container, but to continue eating well once the container in question is opened. We have drafted a document to present to the committee with our principles . Namely:

1. Recipes for your Tupperware should be tasty reheated. Not all food is appetizing reheated. Dishes with sauce are especially delicious reheated.

2. Alternatively, recipes for tupperware should be delicious when cold , or be a cold dish.

3. Tupperware recipes shouldn't be easy to tip over . In other words, soup is perfect reheated, but transportation is a constant requirement for Tupperware. It's not right to force the Tupperware owner to carry the bag upright or clutch it the entire trip.

4. Recipes for Tupperware should not contain easily oxidized . Avocado is delicious, but it won't fit in a Tupperware unless it's whole.

5. Recipes for Tupperware should not be recipes that require freshness to be good, such as pre-prepared green or tomato salads.

6. Recipes for Tupperware should be well mixed . Transportability means food can be stored safely on the go. Fried potatoes with noodles are NOT a good Tupperware meal. Stews or recipes with the garnish already included are great for Tupperware.

7. Finally, Tupperware recipes should not be foods whose cooking and quality deteriorate over time. Pasta, hot rice, and fried foods are NOT suitable for Tupperware. They lose texture and their flavor is attenuated. This is the point that has generated the most controversy.

Without further ado, we're leaving you with these sample Tupperware recipes vote in the November referendum.

10. Tuna cake

Preparation

The night before. It's delicious both cold and hot. If you're going to heat it, keep in mind that microwave heating softens the dough. If there's another way, even better. This can be done in the oven, a dry skillet, or in a toaster.

Do you need a microwave?

peppers pizza

not necessarily.

11. Pizza di pipazzo

Preparation

The day before. It keeps perfectly and doesn't lose flavor or texture. You can also keep pre-made pizzas on one side and the pepper mixture in a jar and assemble it when needed so you can carry it for several days. It's delicious cold, but I recommend the same if you're going to reheat it: if you're using an oven (gas or electric), even better. You can also reheat it in a pan, on the stovetop, or in a toaster.

Great list, Paulina! I have some rectangular Tupperware containers that are the perfect size for making a slice of potato pie or squeezing three vegetable cannelloni, super handy for taking to the office. And the other day I made a big pan of your Paraguayan soup and portioned it out perfectly to go with leftover Milanese at work. A hit!

Lunchboxes should include a clause relevant to the workplace. Fish in the office is a big NO. Or a manners manual for lunchboxes could be written. On fish days, you eat it alone, in the square, under a tree, and with mouthwash in your pocket... whatever.

Great list!… My grandmother always says that anything pickled is a lifesaver. Obviously, there's no better pickled chicken than Elvi's (my grandma), and no self-respecting grandmother would deny her favorite granddaughter (me) a treat, so I have no idea how to prepare it… I'll leave that to you!
