Welcome to Paulina Kitchen! Today we are going to cook a dinner for two very particular people! Do you know about the incredible challenge we put together with Matias Chavero?! How not ?!
It is very easy, we join to do what we enjoy most, which is to compete! For that we challenge ourselves to cook with a very low budget, or how who could say: by two mangoes! To give an idea of how serious we go with this: we have a lot of rules and conditions that can see well in the video.

Competition rules!
- We have to spend $ 50 on the total purchase
- They are left out of this amount: condiments, sweeteners, milk and flour in small amounts
- You cannot fraction (buying something large and counting the proportional amount of what we use)
Ingredients
For two portions
- 2 Zapallitos
- 2 potatoes
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 1/2 kg of squid fins
- salt
- pepper
- paprika
- 1 peaches
- butter
- mascabo sugar
- cinnamon
Dinner recipe for two!
For only 50 pesos!
First course: Zapallitos soup
- The first thing we are going to do is cut the zucchini into cubes or segments. The same is going to do with an onion. We are also going to wash and peel the two potatoes, and cut into thick slices.
- In a pot with a little oil, we are going to frit the onion. Add salt and lower the heat so that the onion softens. When the onion is tender, we are going to add the zucchinity until it brown a little. We add the potato slices and cover with water. We salt and pepper and let it boil until the potato is tender. All this is for our soup.
- While we are going to cut the other onion that remained in small cubes. We are going to peel the tomatoes (they can do it with a pelapapas!) And we are also going to cut them into cubes.
- When the potato is tender, we will separate them for the second course. We leave only some to give texture to our soup.
- Before crushing everything, we are going to get a little broth, approximately one cup, a little less, you see you, last later you can add a little again. Now if we crush it with a mixer well, we add a teaspoon of curry, check salt and we already have the first dish of this dinner for two!
Second course: squid fins
- We will move on to the second course: we take the squid fins and cut them into strips. If you want you can get your skin a little, but it is not necessary. In a pot with hot oil, we cook the chopped onion along with a garlic clove.
- When it is soft and golden, we add the tomatoes in cubes and lower the heat to a minimum. We add salt, pepper and a good tablespoon of paprika. We are going to cook everything until the tomato is very dark and embroidered.
- Once the tomato is well cooked, we add the squid cut of one, we will leave it cooking without covering and we will stir every so often. They will see that the long preparation is a lot of liquid, so we will continue to cook until all that is reduced and the flavors are well concentrated.
- To serve our second dish of this dinner for two, we are going to distribute the slices of potatoes between two dishes, and above we place the squid fins, we can sprinkle with a little paprika if they want, we decorate with chopped parsley and we are!
THIRD PLATE: Warm peaches
- Finally, the dessert: we peel the peach, we cut it in half and take out the Carozo. In a pan we heat a bit of butter and when it is melted we put a teaspoon of mascabo sugar. We brown the peach halves for a few minutes on each side. The idea is not to cook it, if not put together a crockery crockery outside. We serve him spraying with a little more mascabo and a little cinnamon.
