Yields: 4 portions
Preparation time : 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 12 fresh and clean sardines
- 2 lemons
- 3 garlic cloves
- Fresh Romero Sprigs
- Fresh thyme twigs
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt to taste
- Newly ground black pepper
How to do sardines in the baked step by step
- Preheat the oven at 200 ° C. Peel and chop the cloves in sheets. Cut the lemons into fine slices.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil with chopped rosemary and thyme (reserve some twigs), garlic, salt and pepper to taste.
- Slightly grease a baking sheet with oil, then place a uniform layer of lemon slices in the tray, and on this basis arrange the sardines aligned one next to each other.
- With a spoon, pour the dressing over the sardines until they are well impregnated. Place some lemon slices and some sprigs of rosemary and thyme above the sardines to add more aroma.
- Cover the tray with aluminum foil, making sure you don't touch the sardines. This will help sardines retain their juice, cook evenly and do not detach so much smell.
