Governor Tacos Recipe

Yield : 6 portions

Preparation time : 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 500 gr of large shrimp, peeled and uncommon
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar cheese, manchego or another of your choice)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 large tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Corn or flour tortillas (packaged or made with homemade tacos )

How to make governor tacos in 5 easy steps

  1. In a pan heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion in julienne and the red pepper in fine strips until they are tender. Bolate 
  2. In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and saute without burning.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook them 2-3 minutes until they are pink and cooked on both sides. Salpimentar at ease.
  4. Return the onions and peppers to the pan with the shrimp. Add grated cheese and mix everything gently until a creamy mixture is formed.
  5. Heat the tortillas in a hot pan until they are flexible. Fill them with the mixture of shrimp, onion, pepper and cheese. Accompany them with the sauce and ingredients chosen.
