Ingredients
- 500 g of chicken breast cut into strips
- 1 large carrot cut into strips
- 1/2 red paprika cut into strips
- 1 cup of green beans (chauchas, beans, ejotes) (200 g)
- 1 onion cut into fine slices
- 1 cup of cut cauliflower (200 g)
- 1 cup of cut broccoli (200 g)
- 1 cup of soy shoots (200 g)
- 1 cup of fillet mushrooms (200 g)
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of maicena dissolved in 1/4 cup of water
- Oil to saute
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to make chicken chapter step by step
- Marinate the chicken by placing in a bowl, chicken strips with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, grated ginger and chopped garlic. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a large wok or pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Save the marinated chicken until it is slightly golden. Remove and book.
- In the same wok, add 1 more tablespoon of vegetable oil if necessary. Save the carrot, paprika, green beans, onion, cauliflower and broccoli for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but crispy. Add the mushrooms and cook for additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add the chicken to the wok again and mix with the vegetables. Incorporates the remaining soy sauce and the spoonful of sesame oil (if you use it). Cook for a few more minutes, ensuring that all ingredients are well mixed.
- If a thicker sauce is preferred, add the maicena dissolved in water to the wok and kitchen, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the hot chicken chaps, accompanied by white rice or noodles.
