Silpancho recipe

Yield : 4 portions

Preparation time : 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 500 gr of ground beef
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 4 potatoes
  • Frying vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Comino at ease
  • Flour and breadcrumbs (enough to empanize)

For salad:

  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Onion
  • Lemon
  • Salt and olive oil

How to make the silpancho in 6 steps

  1. Cook the white rice twice its boiled water volume until tender and reserve.
  2. Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to fry.
  3. In a bowl mix ground with salt, pepper and cumin at ease. Form flat cakes of approximately 1 cm thick.
  4. Beat the eggs on a deep dish and pass the cakes through flour, then through the egg and the breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry the cakes in hot oil for approximately 4 minutes per side until they are golden. Fry the potatoes until they are golden and crispy, approximately 10 minutes.
  6. Prepare a salad by cutting tomatoes, lettuce and onion. Aliñar with lemon, salt and olive oil.
  7. Place the meat cake on the center of the rice, surround with french fries and place the fried egg on top; Serve the salad next to the plate.
