Quick gifts for Christmas: Sales flavored!

Quick Christmas gift

In this program… we learn how to make flavored salts to give as Christmas gifts!

If you're thinking about what to give for Christmas, here's a lovely, affordable, quick-to-prepare alternative. Flavored salts, especially, will make a very original Christmas gift that we can quickly put together.

Also, in this video we will see once again our great friend Matias Chavero, with whom Paulina has been preparing several sweet recipes such as the Moroccan snack recipe (which I think would also be a good Christmas gift).

I hope you like it too.

I'll find them in the next video.

Wishes you a Merry Christmas,

Lemon and rosemary salt

  • 5 tbsp. coarse salt
  • 1/2 tbsp rosemary
  • 1 lemon zest
  • white pepper
  1. Place the coarse salt in the container for the blender or food processor.
  2. Add the zest of a lemon and half a tablespoon of rosemary.
  3. Season with a little white peppercorns.
  4. Process until ingredients are combined.

This salt is ideal for seasoning chicken. It can also be used in drinks, for example, for a mojito, and it goes great with salads. This seasoning is also perfect as a quick Christmas gift, since chicken or turkey are often available at this time of year, and it goes great with any poultry!

Salt of 3 paprikas

  • 5 tbsp coarse salt
  • 3 dry tomatoes
  • 1 cdita. of sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. hot paprika
  1. Place the coarse salt in the container for the blender or food processor.
  2. Add 3 chopped sundried tomatoes.
  3. Finally, add one teaspoon of each type of paprika. If you don't have three different types of paprika, you can add three tablespoons of regular paprika, but it won't have the same flavor.

This flavored salt is ideal for red meats and fish. It has a stronger flavor than the first, as the smoky and spicy flavors predominate, giving it a distinctly Spanish aroma. Try it, it's delicious!

Curry salt

  • 5 tbsp. coarse salt
  • 3 tsp grain mustard
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  1. Place the coarse salt in the container for the blender or food processor.
  2. Add the mustard, curry powder, and teaspoon of garlic powder.
  3. Process until all ingredients are well combined.

This salt is perfect for seasoning pork, and it also goes very well with chicken and vegetables. It has a rather intense flavor from the mustard and garlic powder . I also like adding it to salads; it goes really well with green leaves. Its color is very striking!

Paulina!!! I remembered I have a Moulinex 1 2 3 that is 30 years old and the only thing I use it for is grating cheese! I love it!!! I used the ingredients from your recipe #1 and it came out BEAUTIFUL with an unbeatable aroma!!!! When I took the picture I wondered if I SHOULD PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE or NOT because of the lemon which is fresh. What do you think? I await your reply and then I’ll continue with the others…. It was fun!!!Comment Image

Hi Paulina, I'd like to know how and how long flavored salts are stored. Thank you.
