Welcome to Paulina Cocina! Today I'm bringing you the best recipe a cooking blog could have: how to make Homemade Chocolate Brownie with Walnuts! Chocolate brownies, while one of the best things in existence, inject you with an incredible amount of endorphins when you eat them. And can anyone explain to me a better feeling than having them melt in your mouth? No! Because there isn't one, dude! There isn't one. Well, I lost my temper.
Where was I? Oh yes! The best chocolate brownie recipe you'll find on the entire internet. I'm telling you this because I looked at all the ones out there, and this one has the best of them all. It's logical, I don't think I'm saying it. And I'll tell you why I did it this way: I've received emails from all over the place, from people outraged that a cooking blog doesn't have a recipe for homemade brownies, and I dismissed them because it's my holiday and I'll cry if I want. But I did receive one that moved me:
“Dear Paulina: I'm from La Plata. I fell in love with a girl, and she told me her favorite dessert is chocolate brownie. I don't know anything about cooking, so I thought of you because your recipes always work for me. I couldn't find a recipe for your brownies, and it broke my heart. I bought a box of them, and the girl noticed and blocked me on Instagram. Please help!
Pedro from La Plata .”

about this homemade brownie recipe
This is a classic chocolate brownie recipe, or a basic recipe. This means you can do whatever you want with it afterward. The key in baking is to always respect the quantities, because any deviation can be disastrous, especially when working with chocolate.
How to decorate a brownie
When it comes to brownies, there are many recipes and different ways to decorate them: covered with icing, sprinkled with sugar, filled with nuts, or mixed with caramel . But the truth is, the original recipe didn't bear much resemblance to the ones we eat today.
My recommendation is to try decorating the brownie with whatever you like best. Rather than decorating it, I prefer to serve it with ice cream, but it depends on your taste.
The key to a good brownie: time and temperature
Everyone thinks the key is the chocolate, but the real key to a great brownie is respecting the baking time and temperature . Unlike baking a cake, where we want it to "puff up," when making a homemade brownie, we want the exact opposite: a more compact dessert so it's moist!
You can take it out moist in the middle or rather dry, it depends on your taste. I recommend taking it out halfway moist; after all, you can always put it back in the oven. If you overcook it, you've overcooked it, and there's no turning back!
Chocolate brownie with nuts
I made this homemade chocolate brownie recipe with walnuts, but you can make it without, or you can also use almonds, which is delicious. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try other options; it's a very versatile dessert to make with different styles of chocolate or nuts, as well as with cream or ice cream.
Anyway, I'll leave you with this brownie, which is the best thing that's going to happen to you, at least this month. I hope you enjoy it!
Cheers, and until next time.

How to make chocolate brownie
my debt to society
- To begin our chocolate brownie recipe, we'll place the chopped butter and chocolate in a pan and heat it over very low heat . We'll cover it and let it sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes. Trust me!
- Now remove from heat and stir the ingredients until everything is melted and integrated.
- Separately, we will beat the 2 eggs with the sugar until they are very white , this is key to making the homemade brownie very moist.
- Add the melted chocolate and whisk until combined. Add the nuts, roughly chopped or whatever you prefer.
- Add the sifted 0000 flour in two parts and mix everything together as shown in the video. It's important to whisk thoroughly before transferring the chocolate brownie to the pan.
- Place on a baking sheet and cook in a hot oven (200-220°) for 20 minutes.
As I mentioned above, it's best to take it out early, and if you want it more cooked, put it back in the oven for a few more minutes. The important thing is not to overcook it so the brownie doesn't turn out dry. Let me know in the comments how it turned out!
The temperature is 220ºC. 1 cup of granulated sugar is approximately 100 g.
As a reference, to make cakes, the base mix is equal parts by weight of the 4 basic ingredients: egg, flour, sugar, and fat. 1 egg is approximately 40 g.
Good afternoon, Paulina. What size should the mold be? Thank you.
Hi Paulina, this is the most delicious brownie I've ever had. I took it out after 15 minutes and it was already dry on the outside. Next time, just 10/12 minutes in a hot oven. Delicious. Edu
Hi Paulina, I'd like to know if the chocolate bar you use has sugar or is it bittersweet?
Also, can I use bittersweet chocolate powder? Would the quantity change? Thank you very much. Regards,
Adry from Budapest.
How much is half a cup of sugar? I like it so you don't have any doubts. The whole recipe is in gray. Or the whole recipe in cups!
Hello, what is the size of the pan? Because I plan to use it in a pizza pan.
This is the recipe I always make. I even know it by heart. I'm just wondering if the oven temperature is in °F or °C.
What a little one
Hello, I'm from Venezuela. If I want to make a kilo of flour, how many eggs should I put in? Is it for sale?
How much sugar would the approximate amount be in grams?
Hello, could you please tell me the size of the mold?
Is it a bar of chocolate?
Hi. I'd like to know if this same recipe can be made with 100% cocoa powder and still have the same result? Thanks, genius.
Hello! I already did it once and it turned out great, and today I'm going to try it again! Thanks!
The mold should be 20×20…
Terrible recipe!!! Awesome!
This recipe is amazing. I made it a while ago and now I'm going to make it again. For those asking, I used a rather large Pyrex-type glass mold, so I increased the quantities of everything by 50% (the mold measures approximately 33x22 cm). I also substituted some ingredients:
Butter for Coconut Oil (150g);
0000 Flour for Superfine Organic Whole Wheat Flour (150g);
White Sugar for Brown Sugar (a cup and a half, approximately 300g).
And it turned out really great.
Thank you so much for this recipe!!!
Easy, effective, and delicious! This will be the recipe I make forever ❤️
Mold size?
HIGHER LEVEL (I've become addicted)
PAULINA YOU ARE A GREAT GODDESS!
I made it a few weeks ago and now I have it back in the oven. A crazy brownie. If it's too thick, I add a splash of milk. It should be thick, but if it's kind of thick, a splash of milk is fine.
Mold measurement please...very important information. Thanks
Mold measurement. DATA NOT LESS THAN PLEASE
I baked twice as much in a 30x40cm baking dish at the lower middle of the oven, 220°C, for 20 minutes, and that was plenty. It burned a little on the edges and top. I'm sorry, but I'm sharing it because I think it might help. Next time I'll bake it for 15 minutes. I think the size of the pan is crucial for the thickness.
This is an amazing recipe
And how many portions do they come out?
PAULINA, THE BROWNIE IS VERY GOOD AND DELICIOUS. THANK YOU.
This recipe is great! I made them and they turned out great. I won't heat the oven as high next time because I got little marks in the center too!
Could you tell me what mold that quantity goes in so I can make it?
Hello, how much is the silver? Please.
