Preparation time: 1 hour and 40 minutes (approximately)
Ingredients
- 300 g of dried chickpeas
- 200 g of sliced sausage
- 1 chopped large onion
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 chopped red pepper
- 2 medium chopped tomatoes
- 1 Medium Papa in Cubes
- 500 g of veal meat (without fat)
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 liter of chicken broth or vegetables
- Olive oil
How to make chickpeas with sausage step by step
- Soak the chickpeas in cold water for at least 8 hours or all night. Drain and rinse before using.
- In a large pot, heat a little olive oil and fry the onion and garlic until golden brown. Add the sausage and cook until you release your aroma and brown slightly. Incorporate potatoes and meat and cook about 10 minutes.
- Add the pepper and chopped tomatoes, and cook until they are tender. Add the drained chickpeas to the pot and cover with the chicken or vegetable broth. Add paprika, cumin, salt and pepper to taste. Remove well.
