La Sole, from San Juan, a distinguished resident of Vallcarca and a lover of Aidà, makes a perfectly spongy cake as easily as I open a packet of biscuits.
“For the mate,” she says, and makes it.
Is this the recipe for Torta de la Sole? No, sir. But it's the flavor I'm after.
For now, I bought a mold similar to hers, poured powdered sugar on it like she does, and made a giant mate. Just like Sole. Oh, I also messed up my hair a bit, called the teapot to the teapot all afternoon, and asked the Doctor to stand up and speak Catalan like Aidà.
It turned out exactly the same.
Ingredients
They are very simple
3 eggs
1 small pot of yogurt
1 measure (= per yogurt pot) of oil
2 measures (= per yogurt pot) of sugar
3 measures (= yogurt pot) of self-rising flour
1 lemon zest
Very easy sponge cake recipe
the yogurt makes it very smooth
1. As always, turn on the oven to medium-low (180º) and grease and flour the mould.
2. Beat the eggs with the sugar, using a whisk, a spoon, or as I did, interlacing two forks.
3. Add the oil and yogurt and beat until everything is combined. Add the lemon zest as well.
4. Add the flour by sifting it (passing it through a sieve) and beat until there are no lumps.
5. Pour into the pan and bake for about 40-50 minutes. Your yogurt cake is ready! Wasn't it easy?
It's super easy and delicious. Thanks for the recipe. Every time I make it, my kids devour it!! 😂

When I saw the recipe so easy I said to myself: it's impossible for something to go wrong, and well for me it turned out terribly 🙁 I did everything just as the recipe said, the average quantities with the same glass and it came out raw. I left it in the oven for 50 minutes at a temperature of 190 degrees Celsius and I don't know what happened.

How can I replace self-rising flour? I'm in Spain and can't find self-rising flour.
Thank you

It's the second time I've made it and I don't know what went wrong because it's caked, raw in the middle, and oily.

The yogurt pot is any size depending on the size of the pot and the size of the other ingredients. It's easy, it's the same size as the pot you choose!

Delicious! Since I didn't have self-rising flour, I added a tablespoon of baking powder. It cooked in 30 minutes.

I make it the same way, but with less oil... I put 1/4 of oil and the rest milk, or orange juice... it turned out great... Because with a glass of oil it came out very oily!!!

I made it exactly as per the recipe using a 190g pot in an Essen pot with 28g savaron. It came out super oily. It took a long time to cook, and it didn't rise much. I'll try using half a pot of oil and see what happens.

I recommend, as I read elsewhere, using half the oil. A full pot is too oily for my taste. Cheers!

Hi! I don't know what a "small" pot of yogurt refers to. I don't know what's considered small. I used 120 grams and the same amount of oil because the recipe calls for the same measurement, but it ended up super oily. I would recommend more specific measurements. I saw the recipe on other websites, and it suggests using half the amount of oil used for yogurt.
