Tips and secrets for steamed beers to come out perfect

  • Choose freshness: Buy the beroberes the same day they are going to prepare, and always check that they are well refrigerated.
  • Use a pot with transparent lid: steam is the key, so a lid that adjusts well is fundamental. If it is transparent better, so we can see how the shells of these mollusks are opening.
  • Do not cook more : they are barely open, they are ready. Cooking them too much makes them gomos.
  • Lemon juice at the end: a touch of fresh lemon enhances flavors, but it is always comfortable.
  • Control the salt: not adding much salt to the water, these mollusks already bring their fair point of salinity.
  • A splash of white wine : a little wine in the pan gives them a aroma and a spectacular flavor.
  • Serve at the time : nothing to let them cool. The taste when they are freshly made is insurmountable.
