Mexican steak recipe

Yields: 4 portions

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 beef fillets (veal)
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tomatoes 
  • 2 mountain chiles (optional)
  • ½ red pepper
  • ½ green pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • Fresh coriander (to decorate)

How to make Mexican steak step by step

  1. In a large pan, heat some vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Incorporate the beef fillets and cook on both sides until golden. Remove them from the pan and reserve.
  2. In the same pan, add the chopped onion, cubes cut tomatoes, peppers and mountain peppers (they can be removed the seeds to reduce spicy). Save until the onion is transparent and soft tomatoes and peppers.
  3. Add chopped garlic cloves and season with salt, pepper and cumin. Cook for a few more minutes for flavors to integrate.
