Dulce and Coconut Polenta Tortices

Welcome to Paulina Kitchen! Today we have one of the most interesting food plugs: sweet and coconut polenta torty! In the Food Plugging group* we organize the plate fair. We insisted the leader with which we had to meet so this event was planned in Texas.

Food Pluggers must receive financial support from somewhere because they paid me the ticket. I did not ask about this issue. The organization was very good.

What I found there is that I belong to a Food Plugging group. That is, there are different groups, each with its leader. And they say that everyone's leader is God.

For me it was very exciting to know them because more than a year ago I belong to the group and I had never seen anyone. The truth is that they are all macanudos.

The dish I chose for the fair is these sweet and coconut pole pancakes, they become very fast and are a champions breakfast for children because they carry polenta, nuts, milk and egg . Apart as they have breakfast pancakes, I thought they were going to like them.

And I was not wrong, they took them out of my hands.

*Food plugging is the latest fashion in the United States. It is about developing methods and recipes to plug (plug) healthy food to children. I have belonged to my group for more than a year.

If you are interested in the subject, I leave two very food plug -in tangerine ice cream , and muffins with Zucchini . I am a Food Plugging Ninja!

On these sweet and coconut polenta pancakes

Why were they a success? First because they are delicious . The texture mixture between polenta and coconut is wonderful!

Second because the theme "Sweet Polenta" is not so explored. There are some recipes of cookies that use poenta, but there is there.

Polenta is one of those superfood full of good things for the organism, and more for boys. In addition to providing more variety to typical sweet dishes.

These sweet and coconut pole pan are ideal for breakfast or snack , or to plug them into a tupper in the boys' backpack!

It is also great to run some of the already exhausted white wheat flour. Let's get out of there and think about different options that may even surprise us, such as these sweet and coconut polertitas!

Greetings and until next

For a good batch

Sweet Polenta and Coconut Tort You

or how to plug food for children!

  1. Prepare the polenta as indicated by the package, without salt and with milk instead of water. I do it with less water for signs to make it firmer. In the water, add the lemon zest.
  2. Once the polenta is made, let the sugar warm. Revolver.
  3. Add the beaten egg, chopped nuts and the grated coconut to the preparation. A mixture will be not very firm.
  4. Heat an iron or non -stringent pan. You can put vegetable dew underneath. Put a tablespoon of the mixture and crush with the spoon. When golden brown, turn and cook on the other side. It is important to do it over medium low heat, but they burn.
  5. To serve, you can put honey on top, or as most of them did in Texas, peanut butter.

Look how beautiful they are!

Give me 10!
