Homemade sweet potato recipe 

Yields: 1 kilo

Preparation time: 2 hours (plus cooled time)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of sweet potatoes or sweet potatoes
  • 700 g of sugar
  • 1/2 lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Optional : 1 tablespoon of agar or 1 on (7 g) of flavorless gelatin

If jelly jelly is used to dissolve the gelatin envelope in ¼ cup of cold water, then heat it for a few seconds so that it dissolves well, and add to the mixture. 
  5. Cook the mixture about 2-3 more minutes, making sure that the agar agar or gelatin are distributed and activated completely. When the mixture is thick and consistent, remove from heat.
  6. Slightly grease a mold or line it with film paper. Pour the mixture into the mold, smoothing the surface with a spatula. Let cool to room temperature until you make consistency, and then take the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until it is very firm.
  7. Once cold, you can already cut the sweet potato sweet, which can be enjoyed alone or accompanied by a slice of cheese for the classic "vigilant dessert."
