Tuna stuffed tomato (and haiku for cape)

Have I ever told you how capers give me an almost lascivious pleasure? I rarely use them, I think unconsciously, because of the belief that "good things come in short."

Today was caper day, so as is customary among us porno capperi* , I wrote a haiku after eating:

My Chinese eyes,
my smile,
my tongue
on the palate
, Capers.

PS: Does anyone else think stuffed tomatoes are a bit retro? To me, it's a 1970s food. *The Porno Capperi are a secret society of caper lovers. We started in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century. I've been a member of the group for several years. I can't tell you much more.

Ingredients

for 4 tomatoes

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 cup of cooked white rice
  • 1 tuna can
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 piece of red or green bell pepper, or both
  • 1 CDA. of capers
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper.

  • 1. Crumble the tuna with a fork on a plate, as if it were a puree.
  • 2. Mix the onion and peppers with the tuna , capers , and rice .
  • 3. Hollow out the tomatoes as shown in the photo. If they're large, you can cut them in half and make two out of each. I like them smaller.
  • 4. Chop 1/4 of the tomato pulp
  • 5. Season with salt and pepper and mix everything with the mayonnaise . It should be a relatively firm paste.
  • 6. Stuff the tomatoes. I like them messy. If we try to make them perfect, they'll probably end up looking ridiculous, so it's best to embrace imperfection.

This is how my tuna stuffed tomato looks like.

she came out very sexy in the photo

Are stuffed tomatoes a 1970s food? Maybe so, but for me, bread wins, since it's an archaic food.
