About these microwave potato chips
Hey guys, Paulina here. I'm sure you'll love this microwave potato chips recipe, and I have a few things to tell you about it. First: don't be scared. I already told you in the video that the first time you make them, you'll say, "I'm not making this anymore," because it seems complicated. But once you understand how it works, you'll make them while you cut the salami.
Second: You can flavor them with whatever you like: oregano, mustard, garlic powder, basil, paprika. I think it's a great option for people who can't eat salt.
I also tell you that beyond the appetizers, they are also good to accompany some dishes, such as hamburgers, for example.
And the last one: as I also tell you in the video, these potato chips can be made with any tuber, with turnip, with beet , and here I leave you the recipe for the carrot ones (these are baked) and the sweet potato , which I already made.
If you want to know how to make potato chips in the oven, just set the oven to low and repeat the same procedure of turning them over every so often.
Ingredients
to leave you hungry
- 2 potatoes
- Salt
- Pepper
How to make microwave potato chips
That simple
- Peel the potatoes, wash them, and slice them very thinly, just a couple of millimeters thick, using a knife, mandolin, or peeler.
- Place water, salt and pepper in a bowl and soak the potatoes there for about 15 minutes.
- Strain the potatoes and remove excess water by pressing them between two cloths, without overlapping them.
- Place the potatoes on a plate or microwave-safe tray, separated from each other.
- Microwave for 2 minutes at maximum power.
- Remove from the microwave and turn the potatoes over, so the other side is exposed.
- Repeat this process about 4 or 5 times, until the potatoes are golden brown. Ready! You have your potato chips.
I could make them in a conventional oven, I don't have a microwave.
In addition to cooking vegetables, making porridge, rice, fish, pudding, etc. Long live the microwave! Hahaha. Let's see if it loses its reputation as a "milk warmer."
With the potato peeler, peel them as if you were peeling them (instead of cutting them like a knife) and they come out really well and quickly. I'm going to try it and see what's up.
Excellent recipe, they come out delicious!
Optional: you can leave the potatoes in their skins (wash them well, obviously).
I agree: im-pressive!
