Baked Pork Sirloin: Recipe and Interview with Jimena Monteverde

Recipe Jimena Monteverde

When I returned to live in Buenos Aires, in one of my first walks through the libraries of the city, I brought me with me a very finite booklet of recipes by Jimena Monteverde .

I didn't know who Jimena was (I had lived 8 years), but I liked the recipes of that little book so much that some stayed forever at home.

Some time later, more landed, I found “that of the booklet” on TV and I really met Jimena, his recipes and his career (my mother summarized, taxative, telling me: "It is the cook of TV").

Their dishes already know them: they are simple, with ingredients that we all have at home, easy to prepare but with the right wave touch so that they are not the same every day. And that is exactly what I intend to convey in Paulina cuisine.

So it occurred to me to invite Jimena to this space to share a recipe. Invitation that Jimena accepted with the same good vibes and humility with which it is always seen.

Thank you!

By the way, Paulina Kitchen submitted Jimena Monteverde to a deep interview with data so far revealed, do not miss it!

The interview

What had you had breakfast today?

Mate breakfast with 1 banana !! Rare, right?

Are your knives sharp?

Sometimes they don't cut the water ... I have only one sharp, and I adore it.

I would like to know about your relationship with the tuppers ... are you one of those who leave tuppers out there?, the one who claims them insistently?, does the friend of the tupper of others? ...

I lose tuppers all the time, and I don't claim them! And every time I go to the super bought a set, ha!

You are cooking, someone goes, observes and stir your preparation ... Does it bother you? Do you tell you?

I hate that they get into my food but it spends all my time with my children, my husband, and on TV because many people pass by my food, each one tries to stir ... so much character I do not have 🙁

Do you know how to do roasted?

I do the roast in my house! And it's wrong to say it but my husband says they are the richest roasts I eat ... surely so that I am not stopped and have to do them!

You returned half an hour to your childhood and ate ...

I returned to childhood and ate home vegetable ravioli that kneaded my Nona with his memorable tomato sauce. And his entrance vegetable soup a delight, and the aromas do not even tell you!

Thanks Jimena!

And the recipe

An ideal dish to get the canchero

This Jimena Monteverde's baked pork sirloin is great for several reasons. The first is that I love baked meats, the second is that it is a way to prepare the pork sirloin that is original, because it carries Granola. The third is that it is crispy (crispy kills everything) and the fourth is the most important: with this oven pork sirloin you can do the canchero .

It is as easy to prepare how to mix the ingredients, put them on the pork sirloin and put it in the oven (you have to be careful with cooking, below is in the instructions).

This baked pork sirloin so colorful and so rich that it is perfect for a dinner among friends, even for some special party, I would even be encouraged to do so for Christmas or New Year.

Ingredients

For 2 portions and almost three

  • 1 pork sirloin (pork hill)
  • 1/2 Cup of granola without raisins
  • 1/2 CDA. of mustard (I put ancient mustard)
  • 1 CDA. Black sugar (if you don't have: common sugar)
  • 2 tbsp. olive
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • Salt and pepper

It is easy squeak

1. Salpimentar the pork sirloin and place it in an oven fountain.

2. Dump the wine and soy sauce, this will then be our sauce.

3. Mix in a bowl the granola, mustard, oil and black sugar to form like a paste. Cover the sirloin with it.

4. Bring to preheated oven about 25 minutes. It is important that the oven temperature is always in the middle as it would burn the coast of Granola.

5. Turn off the oven, let stand for about 10 minutes to settle the juices and serve. Accompany with these sweet potato chips to the microwave . Also, Jimena explains, it can be accompanied with mashed potatoes and apple or baked sweet potatoes.
