Chia seeds, linen and more: how they are taken (recipe)

Chia seeds

In this program ... Paulina presents her son Coquito.

Paulina Kitchen This seed dust (or some similar) gave it to the doctor one morning having breakfast in Bread and art. It is a simple mixture of Chia seeds, linen, sesame and others, crushed and roasted. Originally friend of bread with butter, we have tried this mixture of seeds on extol, yogurt, soups and thousands of etc. So much, I liked that I always have a bottle on the shelf.

Nor does it say that Chia's seeds are very healthy , just like the rest of the seeds, and that as soon as Coquito turns I put a tablespoon of the magic powder in almost anything he eats (ideal for Food Pluggers ).

I chose this seed dust as the first recipe of the season since, like many people, I was looking for a way to incorporate Chia seeds into the diet permanently (that is, not a dish that contains them, but to have a method to eat seeds often). This worked very well for what I explain before: Chia seeds, linen seeds, sunflower, poppy, sesame, are very healthy, as well as tasty. And in this way we can have the bottle on hand ready to use, instead of having to toast seeds every time.

A hug to all and enjoy this first program of our 2nd season. Bon Profit!

Ideas

Seed powder is ideal for use about:

  • Bread with butter : o bread with spreadable cheese.
  • Yogurt : For example, Greek yogurt with honey and seed dust. Champions breakfast.
  • Salad : For example, a green salad with chopped garlic, seeds and olive oil.
  • Soups of any kind!
  • Blue cheese treaded with butter + seed dust = life is worth it.

I have pending salty or sweet versions. For example, the same dust with a little salt and curry can go very well for salads. They will tell me what occurred to them.

Chia, linen and more seeds: how they take

This is how the magic dust is made

P1030262 1) Mix the seeds of Chia, seeds of linen, sesame, poppy and sunflower. Machar them in a mortar until dust is done (no matter if large pieces remain in the middle)

2) Toast the seed dust in a pot without anything (or oil, or butter, or anything). They will release a delicious aroma.

3) Save in bottle and enjoy adding to all kinds of preparations.

Note : ingredients may vary, for example, in addition to chia, linen seeds, etc. You can add nuts such as nuts, almonds or hazelnuts.

HiPaulina, I love your recipes !!
Only a suggestion to the seeds: by toasting them they lose all their properties and nutrients.
You can grind them and take them in the same way but without roasting them.
A hug!

Hello Paulina, my question is as follows: you have an idea if the essential oils that mainly have the linen and chia seed that have omega 3 that are one of the few foods that contain it after the sea fish, are still once the seed to roasted? thank you

Hello Paulina. I have another question similar to that of Romina. I listened to there that the seeds really are really beneficial and their nutrients were used to "activate" to boil them for a while because but so "raw" they did not spend well. Do you have an idea of whether this is so? Because the truth is that the idea of this pust is very practical

Hello Paulina !!!
They told me that chia seeds should be grind them and consume them at the time not to lose their "properties/benefits." Do you know if this is true? Because your seed powder proposal seems to me practical but I want to know if the seeds will keep their properties indefinitely (or at least until I finish the bottle).
Thank you so much!!!
PS: I love the page, especially Food Pluggers' proposals !!
