About the baked gold

What kind of fish is the gold

It is a salt water fish that is commonly found on the coast of the Mediterranean . It is a white fish that is characterized by its tender meat and its soft and delicate flavor. Its meat is rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals, such as iron and calcium.

La Dorada is a highly valued fish in world cuisine, because it can be used in a wide variety of recipes, such as stews, roasts, fried and baked, it always looks good. It is an excellent source of protein and is low in saturated fats, which makes it a healthy option to include in a balanced diet.

What should be taken into account before cooking the baked gold

At the time of golden cooking at home , it is important to take into account some aspects to achieve an optimal result. I recommend that you take into account some things such as:

  • Freshness: Be sure to buy a fresh and quality gold. Fresca gold must have a bright appearance, light and bright eyes, red gills and firm flesh to the touch.
  • Cleaning: Before cooking the gold, it is important to clean it correctly, eliminating the scales, guts and gills. If you buy the whole gold, you can ask in the fish market to clean it for you.
  • Temperature: The gold is cooking better at a high and constant temperature. Be sure to preheat the oven or grill before cooking it to obtain an optimal result.
  • Cooking time: cooking time will depend on the cooking method you choose and the size of the gold. In general, it is recommended to cook the gold about 15-20 minutes in the oven or on the grill, but be sure to check the gold regularly to avoid cooking in excess.
  • Condiments and seasoning: La Dorada has a delicate and soft taste, so it is important not to use condiments or seasoning that can overwhelm its flavor. It is recommended to use fresh herbs such as thyme, rosemary or parsley, lemon, garlic and olive oil.

What are the ways of cooking the gold

There are some different to cook the gold, depending on the tastes and preferences of each person. Here I present some options:

  • Baked: This is one of the most popular methods to cook the gold. It can be filled with aromatic herbs, lemon and garlic, or can simply be roasted with a little olive and salt oil.
  • Grilled: Another very popular way of cooking the gold is grilled. You can marinate the gold with lemon, garlic, rosemary and olive oil before putting it on the grill.
  • FRITA: The gold can also be cooked fried in hot oil. It is common to use flour to batter before frying it.
  • Steamed: This is a healthier cooking method than fried. The gold can be cooked in a steam container with a little lemon and aromatic herbs.
  • In Papillote: This method consists of cooking the gold wrapped in aluminum foil or plant paper with a mixture of herbs, lemon and olive oil.

Any of these options is a delicious way to cook the gold and enjoy its soft and delicate flavor.

Draced drinks

La Dorada is a fish with a delicate taste , so it is generally recommended to move with light and fresh white wines that do not dominate its flavor. Here are some pairing options:

  • Dry white wine: a dry and light white wine, like a Sauvignon Blanc or an Albariño, can perfectly complement the gold. These wines have a fresh and fruit flavor that will enhance the soft flavors of fish.
  • Pink wine: a dry and light pink wine, like a pinot noir pink or a garnacha pink, can also be a good pairing option with La Dorada. The fruity and fresh flavors of the wine will complement the flavors of the Dorada well.
  • Beer: If you prefer beer, a light and refreshing beer, such as a lager or a pilsner, it can be a good option to pair with the gold. Carbonation and the refreshing flavor of beer can balance the flavors of fish.
  • Water: If you prefer not to drink alcohol, water is always a good option to pair with any fish dish, including the gold. A mineral water with gas can be an interesting option to balance the flavors of the plate.
