I'll tell you one thing, Marta: celery juices are wonderful. They're fresh and add character to the dish.
In addition, celery has several healthy properties, including the following:
celery helps you lose weight
Because it has a satiating effect and low caloric intake
celery is good for stress
Because it contains phthalides, a sedative component.
Celery acts against hypertension
Because it reduces fluid accumulation.
So here are three suggestions I made at home this summer: a juice with celery stalks, another with leaves, and a flavored water. Try them! They're delicious and fresh.
1. SWEET LIME AND CELERY JUICE
Place 2 whole sweet limes (yes, whole), 2 celery stalks, water, ice cubes, and sugar (or sweetener of your choice) to taste in a blender. Blend.
Note on whole limes: Neither the seeds nor the peel leave a bitter taste in the juice. But you should be careful to drink it immediately. If you happen to leave it refrigerated for a couple of hours, the bitter taste will appear.
2. ORANGE, PINEAPPLE, AND CELERY LEAVES JUICE
As stated above: In the blender, add 1 orange, 1 thick slice of pineapple, and several celery leaves. Add sugar or your chosen sweetener and water. Press ON for one minute.
3. CELERY, STRAWBERRY AND GINGER FLAVORED WATER
Place 6 quartered strawberries, 1 chopped celery stalk, and 2 slices of fresh ginger in a pitcher. Add water, sugar or your chosen sweetener, and ice. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve strained.
